National Women's Health Week Luncheon


The Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce will host a distinguished panel of physicians from Baylor College of Medicine, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The Methodist Hospital & Hotze Health & Wellness Center who will discuss the latest in preventive healthcare for women.

As well as honoring Dr. Peggy Smith from Baylor College of Medicine for her committed to the provision of quality mental and physical health care programs to inner city teens and actively conducts research and evaluation concerning a variety of adolescent issues.

Thanks Wal-Mart for Giving Back!


Wal-Mart Stores, Inc was presented with our Business of the Year Award.  Angela Wilson, District Director for Wal-Mart accepted the award.  Wal-Mart strives to meet the unmet needs of under-served populations and support organizations that give individuals access to a better life. They believe in operating globally and giving back locally. They make a positive difference in our community through volunteer efforts and financial contributions.  Their primary focus on giving is supporting education, workforce development, environmental sustainability and health and wellness.  Wal-Mart helped with relief efforts for victims of IKE and during the holidays gave 25 million dollars to families in need.  Wal-Mart has been a generous sponsor of the Chamber's luncheons and events. Angela serves on our Board of Directors and is active with our Education Committee.More
