Texas Petrochemicals Awards Local Scholars


This year Texas Petrochemicals awarded $80,000 in college scholarships to 13 high school graduates from across southeast Texas.  The scholarships are given to students based on academic achievement, personal achievement and financial need.  The Company partners with Chavez High School, in Houston's East End and Port Neches-Groves (PNG) High School, in Port Neches, Texas to award scholarships to students planning pursue a degree in the engineering, science or education fields of discipline.  In addition, the Company awards college money to the sons and daughters of employees each year.

 

In total, Texas Petrochemicals has awarded more than $275,000 in college scholarships through the Company's Mark of Excellence and Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program.
