Wal-Mart Stores, Inc was presented with our Business of the Year Award. Angela Wilson, District Director for Wal-Mart accepted the award. Wal-Mart strives to meet the unmet needs of under-served populations and support organizations that give individuals access to a better life. They believe in operating globally and giving back locally. They make a positive difference in our community through volunteer efforts and financial contributions. Their primary focus on giving is supporting education, workforce development, environmental sustainability and health and wellness. Wal-Mart helped with relief efforts for victims of IKE and during the holidays gave 25 million dollars to families in need. Wal-Mart has been a generous sponsor of the Chamber’s luncheons and events. Angela serves on our Board of Directors and is active with our Education Committee.
